Uncle John escapes to Red Coconut

The next day with Uncle John in tow we headed to Ft. Myers Beach.  When we got out of Sunday beach goer back-up on the bridge, we arrived at the most amazing RV park, Red Coconut where our site was second row off the beach.  Literally, we walked 15 feet our our front door onto a white sandy beach leading to calm blue waters where Georgia could stand shoulder deep in the warm water.  Heaven...

We joined the other frozen zombies on the beach to stop and watch the sunset.  It's fantastic being on a west coast beach.

The next day Karen took the truck to go see Jim, our diesel mechanic who was the inspiration for this stop in the first place.  He was so helpful and gave us good and bad news about the truck  All and all we're glad we have someone like Jim looking out for us.

We went to the beach for a play and swim and then walked to the local beach village where John bought us an amazing rooftop grouper dinner.  It was a great evening.
