Fres(oh)no –Oh Yes!

So we got up early in beautiful Giant Sequoia National Monument to head off to Yosemite National Park! A long drive out of one mountain and up another. As Tim was hooking up Eagle he noticed a small pool of liquid forming under War. Karen came out and thought it smelt like fuel. Karen had smelt diesel for quite a while in War and remarked on it a number of times, to which Tim replied a number of times ‘ don’t worry about it.’ Silly Tim.

Not knowing what it as, we gingerly drove the War down the first mountain while Karen found the best place to repair it in Fresno on the way. Fast forward to the 3 Beckmanns in another Ford dealership at 100 degrees waiting to hear the bad news. It wasn’t that bad, it was air-conditioned and we took up every plug in the waiting room recharging our plethora of gadgets as they put Cat-in-the–Hat on the TV for G. Our biggest fear was War. Would it cost thousands of dollars to repair her and would we be stuck in Fresno for 3 days? No, our awesome repair adviser (Mark) came out and told us that it wouldn’t cost much, Karen was right (it was a fuel leak), it was going to be done in the next hour or so and we could be on our way. Not only that, he gave us his private directions to the camp site we were going to next and almost hooked Eagle back up for us. We love Mark.
