Zion and Bryce

Because of campsite locations, we decided to visit Zion National Park on the way to Bryce Canyon.  It was a lot to fit in one day, but we’re glad we went.  Zion is so beautiful, but unfortunately, I don’t think you can capture it with a camera.  Here were our attempts.

After our drive through the park on the shuttle we stopped for a short hike.  We took some time to cool off in the Virgin River.  The high temp that day was forecast as 107 degrees!

We arrived late into our Bryce Canyon site and enjoyed the company of our Canadian/British neighbours.

The next day, we got up early to take a big hike in Bryce.  We went to the ranger and asked about trails.  We noticed the high was forecast as 84 degrees, so we felt we could take on something more difficult.  We took the Queens Garden/Navajo trail combo for a 2-3 hour hike.  It was a stunning walk down and a gruelling, switch-back climb up.  We enjoyed the exercise and the cooler weather.
