Karen loves trees.
She’s glad to be in this part of the world. As we were ascending to Jacob Lake, Georgia
asked if we were on our way to Mama and Grampa’s house. Karen told her no, it just looks like
it. We pulled into our site and loved
it!
We went to the visitor’s center to get info, got some ice cream and asked where the lake was, low and behold there was none. So, we relaxed at our campsite, which was significantly cooler than our last destination, in the shade.
That evening, we went to the Grand Canyon to watch the sunset. We took the first opportunity we had to put on jeans and carry jumpers (sweaters).
Along the way, we were amazed at the beautiful alpine meadows with deer and bison.
We arrived a little late to our lookout point and missed out prime picture taking light, but as a result, were the only people there for most of the time. We were blown away.
Then next morning, we got up early and spent the whole day touring the different viewpoints of the canyon. It was epic and awe-inspiring.
Love the pic of Tim, Smokey and G! G you've got your bestest smile and straightest pose goin on girlfriend. Your getting so big! Maia made hot chocolate for you guys in the playroom the other day!

Smokey Rocks :)
I think the North Rim of the Grand Canyon is definitely the most beautiful. Tat and I spent a night there in a log cabin. Best night's sleep we have ever had. Can't wait to go back.
